Kid’s Bible Study- Can a Camel Fit Through a Needle?

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.

Matthew 19:24

One day, Jesus met a rich young man who asked, “What must I do to have eternal life?” Jesus told him to follow God’s commandments. The young man said he already did that. Then Jesus said, “Sell everything you have, give to the poor, and follow me.” But the young man walked away sad because he loved his money more than following Jesus.

Jesus told His disciples, “It’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter God’s kingdom.” Imagine a big, bumpy camel trying to squeeze through the tiny hole in a sewing needle — that’s impossible!

What Did Jesus Mean?

Jesus wasn’t saying money is bad. He meant that when we love things like money or toys more than God, it’s hard to follow Him. But Jesus also said, “With God, all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). That means if we trust God, He can help our hearts love Him more than anything else!

God wants us to love Him more than anything we own. When we put Him first, He takes care of us and helps us live for Him!

Prayer:

Dear God, help us love You more than anything else. Teach us to share with others and trust You with everything we have. Amen.
